Saturday we colored eggs and had an Easter egg hunt. How fun, How messy!! I hope we are making memories. Chris and Helena came over with Gavin and Brody. Keagan drew a car on one. Cloie loved her pink egg and she kept it in the die for about 10 minutes, taking it in and out. Samantha made a striped egg and she drew a squirrel on one. Kyler wasn't sure that he wanted color any but ended up getting into it.
Michael is just like a kid when it comes to holidays. He gets so excited just like his mom. He saved an egg in his pocket so he could make the suicide egg and then forgot about it. He sat down to help Samatha with her striped egg and the egg smashed in his pocket. For those who don't know the suicide egg is one that we combine all of the die at the end and put an egg in and see what comes out. Usually an ugly colored egg. Whoever finds it gets some money. Keagan found it this year and we gave him fifty cents. Samantha actually found it first, but she started before Mike said she could so she was eliminated. So sad. This is a tradition from the Parker side.
Sunday the kids woke up and they had to hunt for their Easter baskets. Kyler took a while to find his in the dryer. We dressed up and had an Easter lesson with the kids and then went to church. It was nearly empty. I think a lot of people were visiting family. Mike and I substituted in nursery and man would that be a great calling. We had lots of fun. We only had four two yr olds so that made it pretty easy. We used to have a two and a half hour block here in Queen Creek because their were not enough buildings for all of the wards. They have changed to three the three hour block just in the last three weeks and it is much better. There wasn't enough time for lessons in RS and Sunday school with the shorter time.
We were invited to Chris and Helena's for dinner Sunday. How nice of them to take on this crew. How nice not to have to fix a dinner. Mike usually cooks on Sunday's and a lot of other days come to think of it. It is so fun to have some family close by and it is great for the cousins to play. Cloie gets so excited to play with Gavin. Keagan and Kyler love all of Gavin's toys and we had to take him to the car kicking and screaming when it was time to go. Dinner was great! Thanks Chris and Helena.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.

What a great idea with the suiside egg. I think we might steel that idea from you. I wish I could have been there to see the look on Mikes face when he sat on that egg. Thats so funny!
